Wellness Training

Our Wellness Training program has more of a “Internal” approach to your health. It has 3 primary aspects:  Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, Nutritional/Health Counseling, and Meditation – implementing the teachings and disciplines of Tai Chi.  If you suffer from chronic pain, poor digestive health, inflammation, general stiffness, or a lack of energy then our internal wellness program can help you!

Injury prevention/rehab training (this includes stretching and self-myofascial release):

Nobody is perfect and at some point, we all suffer from an injury. It can happen in a variety of ways (trauma, overuse, sports and recreation).   If not treated properly, injury can lead to chronic inflammation and pain that can limit your performance and leave you feeling hopeless or frustrated.  This is where ENERGY Fitness can assist by teaching you methods of treatment for your muscles and soft tissue to alleviate pain and inflammation.  We want to help you get fit and stay fit, but sometimes it requires extra attention to the areas of your body that need it most.

Our trainers are very skilled and have years of experience helping clients with pain relief and injuries, eventually helping to restore balance to their framework and increase their range of motion. With the right trainer, we can help assess your body mechanics and take you through a progression of treatments to provide relief.

We have special certifications to help correct “imbalances" and alleviate tight or inflamed areas of the body and teach you with various treatments like: corrective exercises, self-myofascial release, facilitated stretching and kinesio taping (or “Rock tape”).

Nutritional Counseling:

How you eat is one of the most important factors for a healthy body. It has a direct effect on your internal and external health. We know that exercise and motion are crucial for strength and cardiovascular performance, but what we eat is the driving force behind all of our basic functions from thinking to moving. Again, our approach is holistic - eating whole, balanced foods that come from clean sources is the best way to nourish the body (as well as the environment).

We offer our clients the opportunity to receive one-on-one counseling from our trainers who possess a strong history and knowledge of nutrition in order to maximize training efficiency and general health. A healthy and balanced approach toward nutrition provides a strong digestive track that can boost your immune function as well as overall performance. Long-term changes rather than short quick fixes (supplements and meal replacements) are the key to creating a lifestyle change for optimal health. Meditation (tai chi and breathing exercises):

Do you feel stressed out? Do want more balance? Do you want to feel more relaxed and improve your mental acuity and awareness?  Then learning the principles and teachings of Tai Chi can help.

Energy Fitness offers an introductory discipline in the ‘Yang’ form of Tai Chi along with some of the basic teachings of Qi Gong. The movement and breathing techniques of Tai Chi will help restore balance to your body both physically and mentally.
